About

I’m an industrial designer from China, based in Stockholm. I’m interested in how things fit into everyday life: how they feel in the hand, how clearly they communicate their purpose, and how they make a familiar task a little easier or more enjoyable.

My work is grounded in functionality, sensitivity to materials, and clarity of form. I care about the relationship between how something looks, how it works, and how it is made. I aim to create things that feel considered and approachable, with details that make sense when you use them.

Making is a big part of how I think. I enjoy moving between sketches, physical models, and prototypes, seeing what an idea becomes when I can hold it, test it, and adjust it. I work with both intuition and precision, leaving room for unexpected discoveries while paying close attention to the small decisions that shape the whole.

My Story

A little more about me and my story :)

I was born in Hohhot, northern China, where my parents ran a building materials business before my father later turned to painting. They were practical, hardworking people who put everything they could into giving me a good start. When I was twelve, we moved to Tianjin, a larger city on China’s east coast, for better opportunities and education. My childhood followed a familiar Chinese rhythm: school, exams, after-school classes, repeat. I learned to work hard and do well within the world I knew.

But whenever someone asked what I wanted to be, my answer was an inventor. I loved making things out of whatever I could find around the house. Years later, when I found my way into industrial design, partly by chance, it felt like giving that childhood instinct somewhere to go.

During my four undergraduate years in Nanjing, I discovered how much energy I had for something when the curiosity was my own. I explored products, furniture, transportation, art experiments, design research, and so on. A small experiment could draw me into an entirely unfamiliar subject. The more I tried, the more I wanted to try, and gradually, I began reaching further, both in design and in life.

In 2023, at 22 years old, I moved to Sweden to begin my master’s degree in Lund. People often ask why Sweden. There are several answers, but the simplest is that I wanted to experience somewhere I didn’t know.

It was my first time living abroad. Over two years in Lund, I found myself learning as much from everyday life as from my studies. Experiencing different cultures gave me new perspectives on the world, and discovering something new along the way always excites me.

In 2026, I moved to Stockholm, eager to see what I could explore here and take on challenges that would stretch my abilities. I’m curious about where that might lead, and keen to find out by doing.

I still love making things. The curiosity keeps me moving, in design and beyond it.

I don’t know where my next stop will be. For now, I like being able to say that.
